At Calvary we seek to be a faith community that balances Spiritual Nurture and Connected Community.

SPIRITUAL NURTURE

is about attending to and supporting the

spiritual journey of all who participate at Calvary,

and are curious about what it means to be

a disciple of Jesus.

CONNECTED COMMUNITY

means that, compelled by our faith, we actively participate with our wider community, listening to and learning from our neighbors, so that we may build a place together where all can thrive.

We understand that these aspects of who we are, inform each other and help us grow together.

Currently we live out these aspects in the following ways:

CONNECTED COMMUNITY


  • Worship and reflection: includes Sunday service,

periodic prayer services, and Wednesdays at

Osceola Farm.

  • Adult Sunday School following Worship.
  • Bible Studies: several during the week.
  • Children's Ministry: through childcare and Sunday School.
  • Local Mission Work: maintaining the Blessing Box on Wells St.
  • Music and the Arts: includes Lobby Art Gallery, Laudate Choir, and Agape Ringers Handbells.
  • Play and Fellowship: includes Games Night and annual Church Picnic.

THROUGH PLATEAU PARTNERSHIPS:

  • Dementia Friendly Community: includes Rainier Respite, Memory Cafes, Caregiver Support, and Community Forums.
  • Enumclaw Food Bank Plateau Outreach Ministries
  • Host Community Groups: includes several Alcoholics Anonymous groups, TOPS, Cascade Foothills Chorale practice, and P.E.O. Meetings.
  • Novel Insights Book Group: meets monthly to discuss books read.
  • Osceola Community Gardens: includes Work parties, growing food for the Enumclaw Food Bank, hosting Music Camp, and the Hometown Harvest event.
  • Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation

THROUGH GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS:

  • Faith in Action: includes partnerships in the Philippines
  • Mission Work: Calvary supports several organizations that do the work of Christ around the globe, and we nurture learning relationships about the work they do.
